Each year after harvest, grape vines are pruned to ensure a good crop of grapes the following season. Drawn from the old tradition in winemaking regions of France, The Burning of the Canes will celebrate the previous year's work and prepare for the upcoming season by hosting an outdoor feast and burning the cuttings (canes). Food, wine, and tastings extra. Traditional fare includes Wine Barrel Smoked Sausage served with local syrup, Griddle Fried Potatoes, and Homemade Apple Sauce. Also available is Reed Road Corn Chowder, Chocolate Chip Cookie S'mores, Mulled Wine & Hot Chocolate, and Fox Run wines by the glass and bottle.
