This self-guided follow up to last year's popular tour of St. Patrick's Cemetery will include veteran burials as well as several interesting stories of families buried in the cemetery. Associated with St. Francis de Sales Church (now part of Our Lady of Peace Parish), St. Patrick's burials consist of mostly Italian and Irish immigrants and their descendants.
The tour will go on rain or shine. Face coverings are required, and non-related groups in the tour must maintain distances of at least six feet from one another. Each tour will begin with a short introduction by a Geneva Historical Society staff member and leave every 15 minutes (2 pm, 2:15 pm, 2:30 pm, 2:45 pm, 3:00 pm, 3:15 pm, 3:30 pm, and 3:45 pm) to follow a path through the cemetery. The capacity for each time slot is 10 people. A printed guide to the featured burials will be provided. Reservations are required. Admission is $5 per person and is payable in advance by credit card or the day of the tour by exact change or check. For more information about the program or to make reservations, call the Geneva Historical Society office at 315-789-5151 or visit www.genevahistoricalsociety.com.
