"Mad Max: Fury Road" Screening at the Smith
Directed and produced by acclaimed filmmaker George Miller, "Mad Max: Fury Road" was the second-most nominated film of the 88th Academy Awards. It received ten nominations, winning six awards for Best Film Editing, Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Hair styling, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Sound Editing, surpassing all other films at the awards ceremony. It is the first film of the "Mad Max" franchise to receive Academy Award recognition, and one of the few sequels to be nominated for Best Picture.
