As part of the Geneva Historical Society’s fall lecture series, celebrate the milestone anniversaries of five of Geneva's community organizations and learn more about their contributions to Geneva’s stories. Geneva’s Rotary and the local chapter of the League of Women Voters are both 100-years-old this year. The Seneca Lake Yacht Club is celebrating 90 years. Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church is 65 years old and the Community Lunch Program started 35 years ago. A representative from each organization will speak about the history of their community group and its work today.
This lecture is supported in part by the Samuel B. Williams fund for programs in the Humanities and is free and open to the public. For more information about the program, call the Geneva Historical Society office at 315-789-5151. The Geneva History Museum is located in the Prouty-Chew House at 543 South Main Street, Geneva, NY. Parking is on the street or in the Trinity Episcopal Church lot across the street.
